Sadhguru is an outstanding person who has been helping people understand their life philosophy and how to improve it by focussing on their inner life. Sadhguru says that if we work on our spiritual willingness, we all have the power of will from birth to live joyfully.
Sadhguru’s labyrinth philosophy of life is explained in simple terms, clarifying existence, its philosophy, and our view of them. Before reading this book, I watched many Sadhguru YouTube videos. So I found several of “Inner Engineering”‘s chapters copied from Sadhguru’s YouTube videos. Reading is usually better than watching films, therefore this is good.
Book “Inner Engineering” has two parts. The first describes how Sadhguru changed dimensions and provides life-changing teachings in a brief autobiography. Then his life changed forever. In the second segment, “Yoga,” Sadhguru guides readers to their ultimate life purpose.
Review
At the beginning of the book, before guiding us to spirituality and showing us the right path. Sadhguru explains these four-letter terms and why people need gurus. He also claims that “Be in the movement,” “Do only one thing at a time,” and “positive thinking” are false and limit human potential. Spirituality requires rejecting men’s notions of existence.
Self-change
Reading self-help or spiritual material does not immediately transform us. We start this procedure internally. Our willingness determines how much change we experience later. Life’s ultimate goal depends on our perspective and internal experience.
Self-transformation comes from experiencing our limitless nature, not morality, ethics, or behaviour. Self-transformation makes nothing old relevant. Your life viewpoint changes.
All of us are doing it wrong. Our intelligence most of the time causes that chaos in life.
Whatever is happening now or in the past, we are branding our happiness, sadness, and other emotions and physical feelings on living or dead things. We are fully responsible for life’s happenings. Sadhguru says we can’t accomplish our ultimate goal until we live this way; medium-based experiences are limited. He believed that one may find the greatest joy within.
When sorrow, dissatisfaction, or rage strikes, look within. To achieve well-being, only you must be corrected. Since you require medication when sick, you forget. You need food while hungry. The only one who needs correction is you, although many take lifetimes to realise this!
Yoga
Sadhguru states yoga is not a practice, exercise, or skill. Yoga is not what you mean if you picture your mind twisting one body into an impossible position. Not even trendy “studio yoga” is “true yoga”.
Yoga is about studying your ideal interior conditions.
You’ll naturally release your best abilities when everything is fine-tuned and running smoothly inside you.
The body can hinder or aid spiritual growth. When intense anguish controls your life, it’s hard to fantasise. Physical dysfunction might deprive you of all other goals.
To maintain a certain state, pay attention to food, sleep, and sex.
Mind, Body, Energy
Sadhguru says we must focus on three areas that manage our emotions, ideas, and life to accomplish our ultimate goal. Body, mind, and energy are essential to life. To find joy, we must retain three aspects of ourselves. Only then can we see our lives from beginning to conclusion within ourselves.
Simply said,
I find this book promising. Some Sadhguru advice was sensible and appropriate. Maintaining our mental and physical health for pleasure and contentment. Our sleeping and eating habits will also boost our vitality and happiness. Chakras and dark magic were beyond my comprehension. Even if Sadhguru may not support science and psychology, I disagree with him. The book includes rudimentary sadhanas that can improve with practice.
There were so many key takeaways from this book. Sharing a few below:
“The quality of your life is always decided by how you experience life, not by what life offers you”
“If you can joyfully do whatever is needed in a given situation, this is freedom. If you limit yourself to doing ONLY what you like, it is a horribly compulsive way to live.”
“Yoga is not about being superhuman; it is about realizing that being human is super.”
“Everything that ever happened to you, you experienced right within you”
“We are the most comfortable generation to have ever lived on this planet. The rub is that we are definitely not the joyful, or the most loving, or the most peaceful”.
